Job Description

• NBRC (RRT) certification and Indiana state license required.
• Shift: Every Other Week (EOW) required.
• First Time Travelers Accepted.
• Certification Requirements: ACLS, BCLS, RRT.
• Skillset Requirements: Minimum 2 years total experience with at least 18 months recent ICU experience.
• Education must be accredited through CoARC and regionally accredited through CHEA.
• Floating between multiple hospital campuses may be required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Indiana.
• Minimum 1.5 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year.
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Degree awarded or high school level education.

Additional Information

• IU Health will not allow Indiana RNs to work at their facilities effective 11/30/24, except for Periop/OR RN’s, Allied, and Ambulatory RN travelers.
• On-site fit testing is limited and must be documented if performed.
• PAPR (Powered Air Purifying Respirator) use is facility approved and may substitute fit mask requirements in some locations.
• Candidates must complete all required facility-specific forms and orientation packets prior to start.
• Candidates are paid for time spent completing mandatory RRT modules.
• Floating between multiple campuses may be required.

Prior Travel Experience

• No explicit requirement for prior travel experience; first-time travelers are accepted.
