Job Summary
Seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist for the night shift (12:00 AM – 8:30 AM) with immediate start. This position involves working in a hospital clinical laboratory setting with no rotating shifts and alternating weekends required.

Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in clinical laboratory science
- Experience with EPIC electronic health records system
- Community hospital experience
- Trauma Level II experience
Required Certifications & Licenses
- ASCP certification
- New York State Department of Health (NYS DOH) Laboratory License

Prior Travel Experience
- Not required (unit accepts first-time travelers)
Required Background & Compliance Checks
- Criminal background check (7-year search) including Social Security trace and New York State search
- Education verification (highest level completed)
- Drug screening (Aya standard 9-panel within 1 year)
- Various state and federal exclusion and sanction list checks
- On-line verification of licensure within 30 days of start
- Physical exam and health clearances (including immunizations and titers)
- Fit mask test (N95) within 1 year
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required annually
- Other facility-specific compliance and onboarding documents
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
- Titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella
- Hepatitis B positive titer or declination form
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption
Orientation & Competency Requirements
- Unit-specific competency exams (completed on Relias platform)
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam
- Color blind testing (must score 100%)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (time sensitive, pass/fail)
- Core Part I, II, III and OSHA mandatory training (updated annually)
- Harassment prevention training (New York specific)
- Other certifications as applicable

Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) license in New York
- Minimum 2 years of Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) experience
- Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) experience within the last year
- Experience working with Level 2 Trauma patients
