Job Opportunity: Home Health Registered Nurse

Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 8 weeks (potential extension to 12 weeks depending on census)

Job Description

• Position: Home Health Registered Nurse (RN)
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
• Coverage Area: Greensboro/High Point area
• Responsibilities:

  • Case management with an assigned caseload
  • Travel throughout the day within the coverage area (own car required)
• This is a non-inpatient role

Experience Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (Home Health)
• Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year case managing experience required
• Prior Travel Experience: Required (must have home care and travel experience)

Certifications & Licenses Required

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or ARC accepted
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or ARC accepted
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – as required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) – as required
• State Nursing License – Primary Source Verification required

Background & Compliance Requirements

• Government Issued Photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
• 7-year Background Check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM checks annually
• HHS/OIG checks annually

Competencies & Assessments

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
• Competency Exam (as applicable)
• Nursing Competency Self Assessment

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical Exam within 1 year of start
• Fit Mask (N95) fitting onsite
• Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 1 year of start (with follow-up for positive responders)
• TB Questionnaire (in lieu of annual TB test)
• Immunizations or positive titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Negative 9 Panel Drug Screen within 1 year of start
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination or Declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31)

Additional Requirements

• Two professional references within 3 years of start
• Annual Skills Checklist

Other Information

• Mileage reimbursement provided at federal rate
• Candidate must be willing and able to case manage and carry a caseload
• Own transportation required for travel throughout the day in the coverage area
