Job Opportunity: Case Manager (Registered Nurse)

Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5x8)
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Experience Required:
    • Minimum 2 years of acute hospital experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not required (first-time travelers accepted)
  • Certifications Required:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) – Must be AHA or ARC certified
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Please review unit details
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Required if working in ED or Pediatrics
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) – As required by unit
    • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – As required by unit
    • EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) – Required for Labor & Delivery candidates
    • State Nursing License – Required prior to start
    • Other certifications may be required based on unit assignment

Requirements & Compliance

  • Background Checks:
    • Criminal background check within 90 days, including all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
    • Federal, state, and county searches as applicable
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks prior to start and monthly thereafter
  • Health Documents:
    • Annual physical exam confirming ability to work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
    • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within required timeframe
    • Immunizations or titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B
    • Tdap vaccine within last 10 years preferred
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
    • Drug screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana)
    • N95 Fit Test within 9 months of start and updated annually (client may complete onsite if needed)
  • Competency Exams:
    • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (must score 80% or higher)
    • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam for certain specialty units (must meet specific scoring requirements)
    • Color Blind Testing (online or in-person)
  • Work History:
    • Minimum 2 years of recent experience in specialty required
    • Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
    • Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education and license information
  • Documentation:
    • Valid driver's license if driving is an essential job function
    • I9/E-Verify attestation required upon hire
    • Facility-specific modules (SITELS) must be completed prior to start date
    • Photo for badge with specific requirements (clear, centered, no glare, solid background)

Additional Notes

  • Locals within 60 miles may be accepted at a lower rate
  • Extensions require updated documentation and compliance with all requirements
  • Agency flips must complete specific onboarding steps
