Job Details

• Shift: 3x12 hour night shifts (1900-0730)
• Locals accepted at a reduced rate within a 50-mile radius
• Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Float

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience

Education & Licensure

• BSN preferred
• Must have RN State License or Compact State Licensure for Missouri
• Pending license acceptable but must be obtained prior to start

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC (must state "Basic Life Support")
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only (RQI acceptable)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA only (RQI acceptable)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - Required for Emergency Department RNs prior to start; ICU RNs only if assignment exceeds 1 year
• NIH Stroke Certification - Required annually for Acute Hospital RNs in specified units including Emergency Department, ICU, Stepdown, and others
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) - Required for Emergency Department and Mental Health RNs/LPNs if extending past initial contract
• Basic Dysrhythmia Exam - Required for all RNs; must score 84% or higher with limited attempts (ICU has a one-attempt policy)

Required Qualifications & Competencies

• Primary source verification of all certifications and licenses within 30 days of start
• Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
• Competency Exams relevant to profession/specialty
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam as described above
• Must complete facility-specific orientation and safety acknowledgements
• Must pass background checks including national criminal, state, county, SSN trace, sex offender, and federal exclusions lists
• Education verification required (official transcript or diploma with graduation date)
• Missouri EDL Search required within 30 days of start

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within last 12 months (not required annually)
• Fit mask testing completed onsite at orientation
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year, updated annually; additional requirements if TB positive
• Immunizations or documented immunity/declination for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Drug screening within 30 days of start (includes multiple drug panels)
• Seasonal flu vaccination required or agency-approved medical/religious exemption (mask required if exempt)

Additional Requirements

• 2 professional references within 3 years of start
• Employment application and skills checklist required
• Verification of most recent employer work history
• Completion of facility-specific confidentiality agreement, code of conduct, and orientation quiz (minimum 84% score)
