Job Opportunity: Medical Lab Technician

Location: Lebanon, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Shift: Four 10-hour days (7:30 AM - 6:00 PM), scheduled Monday through Friday
• Holiday Requirement: Must work at least one holiday

Certifications & Licenses

• Preferred: ASCP certification
• Must hold a valid license appropriate for Medical Lab Technician discipline
• Required certifications may include (as applicable):

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
• National technical certification verification required as applicable
• State license verification required

System & Skills

• Experience with Meditech Expanse charting system preferred

Background & Compliance Requirements

• 7-year comprehensive background check required, including nationwide and international checks as applicable
• Annual renewal of background checks and EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG screenings
• Transcript/Diploma verification required
• Physical exam within 12 months of start, updated annually
• Fit mask test within 12 months of start, updated annually (specific mask types required)
• Negative drug screen within 12 months of start
• Required immunizations and/or titers:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • TB test (negative PPD, QuantiFERON Gold, or Tspot within 1 year)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or vaccination)
  • Hepatitis B (titer or vaccination series)
  • Varicella (titer, vaccination, or history)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season

Additional Requirements

• Must provide 2 professional references
• Skills checklist required annually
• Locals within 50-mile radius considered local for scheduling purposes

Requirements/Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Medical Lab Technician
• Medical Lab Technician experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel assignment

• Must be an experienced traveler with lab experience; no first-time travelers accepted
