Job Description
- Shift requirement: Every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) plus two rotating weekdays.
- Floating between multiple hospital campuses may be required.
- First-time travelers are accepted.
Required Qualifications
- License: Indiana Respiratory Therapist license (RRT) required.
- Certifications:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years total experience with at least 18 months recent ICU experience.
- Education must be accredited through CoARC and regionally accredited through CHEA.
- Additional Requirements:
- Completion of mandatory facility-specific RRT training modules prior to orientation.
- Valid Driver’s License or Passport (clear copy required).
- Background checks including criminal, education verification, and federal exclusions.
- Physical exam completed within 12 months of start date.
- Fit mask test within 12 months of start date (specific respirator models required).
- Immunizations and health screenings including TB test, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, flu vaccination (or approved exemption), and drug screening.
- Color blindness exam (Ishihara or equivalent) with a minimum score of 100%.
- References: Minimum of 2 from recent employment verified within 2 years.
- Skills checklist and competency exams as required by the facility.
Important Notes
- Indiana RN license holders are generally not allowed to work at this facility after 11/30/2024, except for perioperative, ambulatory, and allied RN travelers.
- On-site fit testing is limited and must be approved if required.
- Flu vaccination is mandatory during flu season; declinations are not accepted except for approved medical or religious exemptions.
- Candidates must complete 22 mandatory RRT training modules before orientation; failure to complete will result in inability to start.
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam required (not required for Techs or RRTs).
- Floating between multiple campuses is expected.

This is a travel contract opportunity for a Registered Respiratory Therapist with ICU experience in Indianapolis, Indiana.
