Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Registered Nurse

Location: Lexington, Kentucky
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 14 weeks


Job Description

  • Call required with a 30-minute callback time.
  • Experience with diagnostic and interventional heart catheterizations, structural implants, hemodynamics, and conscious sedation.
  • Floating to Electrophysiology (EP) lab as needed, including late call shifts.
  • Call schedule includes 1 late shift per week, 1 call shift per week, and 1-2 call weekends per 6-week schedule.
  • Level 1 trauma experience preferred.
  • Local travelers within 75 miles are not accepted.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky.
  • Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, with experience within the last year.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
  • Certifications issued by the American Heart Association:
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Additional Information

  • Candidates must renew all expiring certifications, competencies, and health documents prior to clearance.
  • Facility requires strict adherence to call schedules and competency testing policies.
  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.

This position is ideal for experienced Cath Lab RNs comfortable with call responsibilities and flexible floating to EP lab.
