Job Opportunity: CVOR Tech

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule & Work Details

• Monday-Friday, 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM
• Call required: approximately 14 call shifts per month, shared between CV team
• Floating to General OR required if CVOR cases are low
• Weekend call required
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week (facility may low census/cancel hours per contract)
• Locals not accepted (candidate must be more than 70 miles from facility)

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Surgical Services specialty
• Preferred: general surgery experience in addition to CVOR
• First-time travelers accepted

Certifications & Licenses

• NBSTSA preferred
• Pending license accepted at manager's discretion

Required Qualifications

• CVOR Technologist with at least 1 year of experience
• CVOR Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS certification required
• Experience with CABG, ECMO, AVR, and MVR required

Additional Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year indicating good health
• Negative drug screen within 12 months of start
• Background check within 12 months including SSN trace, 7-year county resided/worked, nationwide search, sex offender search
• Fit mask testing onsite during first week of orientation (annual requirement)
• Immunizations and health documentation including:

  • TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months
  • Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption (annual)
  • COVID vaccine series preferred
  • Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella titers or vaccination proof
  • Hepatitis B titer, series, or declination
  • Varicella titer or vaccination proof
• Completion of facility-specific orientation modules and training, including online Impella training if applicable
• Submission of required documentation such as photo for badge, confidentiality agreements, and respirator fit test forms

Important Notes

• Candidate must submit Return to Office (RTO) requests with application; additional requests after confirmation are at manager discretion
• Scrubs provided
• Parking available onsite at no cost
• Candidate will be fit tested onsite; clean-shaven requirement for fit test applies
• Prior travel experience is not required for this position
