Job Description
- Must float to multiple units including PICU, CV PICU, Stepdown, Medical-Surgical (MS), and rarely Emergency Department (ED).
- Float to Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia (BPD) NICU with an average patient length of stay of 2-3 years; requires comfort with frequent tracheostomy care and heavy parent involvement.
- Float to other campuses as needed.
- Two-part interview process: initial screening with Float Pool Leader, followed by potential interview with NICU unit manager.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Minimum 2 years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience, with NICU experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

- Candidate’s legal name must match all licenses and certifications exactly; no nicknames or aliases allowed.
- Ohio driver’s license address must not be within 60 miles of the facility to avoid being considered local.
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
- Candidate must complete facility-specific documents including Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, Infection Control Policy, and others prior to start.
- Fit testing documentation and fingerprinting must be completed within specified timeframes; onsite completion possible if prior completion is not feasible.
- Education verification and background checks must be current and compliant with facility standards.
This position is ideal for experienced NICU RNs comfortable with high-acuity pediatric care, multi-unit floating, and working in a dynamic travel contract environment.
