Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location

• Mount Vernon, Washington

Employment Type

• Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

• Night shift: 7:15 PM to 7:15 AM (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each)
• Every other weekend required
• No call required
• Floating within scope as needed

Unit and Facility Requirements

• Start Date: ASAP
• EMR system: EPIC
• Block scheduling may be discussed during interview
• Locals allowed
• No radius restriction
• First-time travelers accepted

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)

Health and Compliance Requirements

• Immunizations and testing:

  • Tdap vaccine or signed declination
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months of start
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination (2 doses or positive titer; boosters accepted for low titers)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination (2 doses or positive titer; boosters accepted for low titers)
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination (mask required if declined during flu season)
• 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start

Additional Requirements

• Photo for badge
• Completion of facility-specific confidentiality, crime disclosure, and conflict of interest forms
• Medication and pharmacology competency exams as applicable

• Prior travel experience is not required for this position.
