Job Opportunity: Primary Care Registered Nurse
Location: San Mateo, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Day shift, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Total Hours per Week: 40
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 1 year of clinic experience within the last year
- Experience in outpatient, ambulatory care, and clinic settings
- Family Medicine experience
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification
- Experience with Epic charting system
Required Documentation & Certifications
- Valid Driver’s License/Photo ID (color copy required)
- Background checks including county history for last 7 years, sex offender registry, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG (all required within 30 days of start)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, including clearance of communicable diseases
- N95 Fit Test or Max Air CAPR completed within 1 year of start
- Immunizations and titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or annual declination)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray if positive (within 1 year)
- Titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella with boosters as needed
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific declination required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31)
- COVID-19 vaccination highly recommended but not required; medical or religious exemptions accepted
- Two professional references within 3 years of hire
Additional Requirements
- Completion of facility-specific HIPAA manual and acknowledgement prior to start
- Pass/fail onsite Epic test-out exam required on first day of orientation (one chance to pass; failure results in denial of employment)
- Unit-specific competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency exams as applicable
- Annual skills checklist required
