Job Opportunity: Primary Care Registered Nurse

Location: San Mateo, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Shift: Day shift, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Total Hours per Week: 40

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 1 year of clinic experience within the last year
Experience in outpatient, ambulatory care, and clinic settings
Family Medicine experience
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS certification
Experience with Epic charting system

Required Documentation & Certifications

Valid Driver’s License/Photo ID (color copy required)
Background checks including county history for last 7 years, sex offender registry, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG (all required within 30 days of start)
Physical exam within 1 year of start, including clearance of communicable diseases
N95 Fit Test or Max Air CAPR completed within 1 year of start
Immunizations and titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or annual declination)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray if positive (within 1 year)
- Titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella with boosters as needed
Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start
Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific declination required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31)
COVID-19 vaccination highly recommended but not required; medical or religious exemptions accepted
Two professional references within 3 years of hire

Additional Requirements

Completion of facility-specific HIPAA manual and acknowledgement prior to start
Pass/fail onsite Epic test-out exam required on first day of orientation (one chance to pass; failure results in denial of employment)
Unit-specific competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency exams as applicable
Annual skills checklist required
