Job Description

• Shift Options: 4x12s, 3x12s, or 2x12s available
• Day Shift: 3 - 12 hour shifts from 7 AM to 7:30 PM
• Experience Required: Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience. Must have 18 months permanent Med/Surg/Telemetry experience prior to travel.
• Licensure: Must have a permanent Ohio license or a compact state license in hand.
• Certifications Required:

  • AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification must be obtained prior to start.

Submission Requirements

• References: Two recent references from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for are required for submission.
• Assessments: ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment to be completed during orientation, with acceptable scores required.

Additional Information

• Health Documents:

  • Government-Issued Photo ID required.
  • Physical Exam within a year of start.
  • Fit Mask required within 12 months of start and updated annually.
  • Vaccinations (e.g., Tdap, Flu, Hepatitis B, Varicella) must be documented.
  • Standard 10 Panel Drug Screen within 12 months of start.

• Background Check: Required prior to start of assignment and updated for breaks in service of 2 or more months.

• Application Requirements: Must include 3 years prior work history, including at least 2 years of clinical practice in an acute care setting and in a similar area to the pending assignment.

Competencies

• Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start and updated annually.
• Skills checklist required annually.

• Candidates must complete all onboarding modules prior to clearance to start. The onboarding process typically takes multiple days to complete.
