Job Description
The role involves providing support to cardiologists, radiologists, and registered nurses in the Interventional Cath Lab. Responsibilities include:
- Executing and technically analyzing procedures under the supervision of a cardiologist.
- Ensuring patient safety and comfort through competent assessment and effective communication.
- Adhering to all regulations and policies to deliver optimal patient care.
- Potentially mentoring and training students.
Requirements
- Certifications:
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS
- RCES, CRT, or RCIS accepted
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years in Interventional Cath Lab, with structural heart experience preferred.
Shift Details
- 4 x 10 Days with start times between 0700-0900
- Rotating nights and weekend call required
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Additional Certifications and Competencies
- Various certifications may be required, including but not limited to:
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
- CCRN (Critical Care RN)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- NIH Stroke Certification
- IV Certification
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam
Health Documents
- Physical Exam (within 1 year of start)
- TB Questionnaire (within 90 days of start)
- Immunization records for Tdap, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella
- Drug Testing (Negative 9 Panel Drug Screen within 6 months of start)
- Flu Seasonal Vaccination/Documentation (for the 2024-25 season)
Background and History Checks
- 7 Year Background Check required within 6 months of start
- Employment Application must include full 7 years of work history
- Education Verification required for highest level achieved

- Candidates must review and sign various facility-specific documents prior to starting.
- Compliance with Sutter Health's standards and policies is mandatory.
