Respiratory Therapist (Registered Respiratory Therapist - Nights)

Job Description

• Perform cardio-pulmonary evaluation, respiratory care, life support, and education for patients, families, and the public.
• Provide respiratory care for inpatients and outpatients of all ages with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies or abnormalities.
• Follow established protocols or physician prescriptions.
• Able to perform respiratory care duties in all hospital areas.
• Must have experience with EPIC electronic health records system.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (NBRC RRT)
• Valid New York State Respiratory Therapist License (Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate required upfront)
• Associate’s degree from an accredited Respiratory Care program
• Current certifications: NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), BLS, PALS, ACLS
• Labor and Delivery/Neonatal Resuscitation experience required
• Critical Care proficiency required
• Must have completed verbal de-escalation training from approved programs (e.g., Welle or CPI) as part of onboarding
• Must pass a 14-panel drug screen within 24 hours of offer acceptance
• Permanent address must be included in profile and match Driver License/State ID; certain NY counties are excluded from consideration

Additional Requirements

• Work history and skills checklist current to within 1 year
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment
• Upload all licenses and certifications with profile before consideration
• COVID vaccinations encouraged but not required
