Sonographer (Echo) - Temp Assignment

Contract Length: 2 weeks

Job Summary

• Perform echocardiography exams including stress and transesophageal echocardiography.
• Utilize two-dimensional, color Spectral Doppler, and M-mode imaging techniques.
• Work independently, consulting physicians as needed for unusual findings.
• Responsible for patient welfare during the exam.
• Cross-training for vascular examinations is preferred.
• Operate HIS and CIS computer systems.
• Use clinical emergency equipment such as oxygen tanks and suction apparatus.
• Must be able to move and lift patients, equipment, and supplies regularly.
• Function effectively in a high-stress, intensive environment.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of current cardiac echo/sonographer experience.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS/RCS) certification required.
• Active American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification required.
• American Heart Association BLS or ARC certification required.
• Supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required.
• Must have own vehicle for transportation.
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (local candidates within 50 miles will not be considered).
• Include permanent address and any requested time off at profile submission; no time off requests will be approved after submission.

Preferred Qualifications

• Vascular experience preferred.
• Certification as Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through ARDMS or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) through CCI preferred.

Additional Information

• Orientation: 8 hours non-billable.
• No 10 or 12-hour shift requests will be considered.
• Time off requests during assignment limited to no more than 5 days and must be submitted upfront.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
