Job Opportunity: Technologist - Cardiology/Interventional Radiology

Location: Grand Island, Nebraska
Employment Type: Contract Clinician
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Scrub cases in the cardiac cath lab and interventional radiology, including procedures such as:
- Left and right heart catheterizations
- Peripheral angiographies
- Pulmonary and peripheral thrombectomies
- Kyphoplasty procedures
- Port placements
- Tunneled line placements
- Drain placements
- Ablations
- Epidural injections
Equipment used: Siemens C-arm, Sonosite ultrasound

Schedule

Four 10-hour shifts per week
Call schedule: one week on, one week off (typically Wednesday to Tuesday every other week)
No floating to other units/departments

Unit Information

2 procedure rooms
Cath lab heavy with interventional radiology capabilities
Cath lab experience required; training provided for interventional radiology procedures if needed
Dress code: Surgical scrubs required in procedure rooms (hospital supplied)

Required Qualifications

Radiologic technologist degree or RCIS certification
Previous cath lab experience required
Proficiency in scrubbing cardiac procedures required
Experience with Siemens C-arm and Sonosite ultrasound preferred

Additional Notes

Candidate should ideally live within 50 miles of the location
No floating to other units
No nurse-to-patient ratio applicable
