Job Overview
- Travel assignment in Omaha, Nebraska
- Start: ASAP
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Days
- Hours: 36 per week
- 12-hour shifts
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Nebraska
- Respiratory Therapist (1 year of experience)
- Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
Key Responsibilities
- Cover all patient care areas
- Draw ABGs
- Occasionally perform EKGs
- Assist with intubations
Schedule
- Self-scheduling
- Every 3rd weekend
- Holidays rotate with permanent staff
- Call is not typically required; response time is 30 minutes if called
Patient Population / Clinical Setting
- Mainly adults
- Some pediatric patients in the ER
- Neonates may also be included
- Supports respiratory care for CRRT, IABP, CABG/AVR/MVR, TAVR, and lung surgical patients
Orientation
- 2-day department orientation
Additional Notes
- Scrub color: Maroon / wine burgundy
- Respiratory equipment includes Drager, LTV, I-vent, V-60, and Vapotherm
- In-house hospitalist and intensivist coverage is available 24/7
- PPE mentioned: PAPR, CAPR, and N95
