Respiratory Therapist

Job Overview

Travel assignment in Omaha, Nebraska
Start: ASAP
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours: 36 per week
12-hour shifts

Required Qualifications

Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Nebraska
Respiratory Therapist (1 year of experience)
Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
PALS

Key Responsibilities

Cover all patient care areas
Draw ABGs
Occasionally perform EKGs
Assist with intubations

Schedule

Self-scheduling
Every 3rd weekend
Holidays rotate with permanent staff
Call is not typically required; response time is 30 minutes if called

Patient Population / Clinical Setting

Mainly adults
Some pediatric patients in the ER
Neonates may also be included
Supports respiratory care for CRRT, IABP, CABG/AVR/MVR, TAVR, and lung surgical patients

Orientation

2-day department orientation

Additional Notes

Scrub color: Maroon / wine burgundy
Respiratory equipment includes Drager, LTV, I-vent, V-60, and Vapotherm
In-house hospitalist and intensivist coverage is available 24/7
PPE mentioned: PAPR, CAPR, and N95
