Shift

• Nights, 12-hour shifts

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• Driver’s license required at submittal

Experience / Work Expectations

• Must be able to titrate drips
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
• May float to ICU if appropriate and experienced

Unit Details

• Stepdown/PCU setting
• 22 beds
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4
• Common patient types include heart failure, Afib, respiratory distress, and stroke

Scheduling / Assignment Notes

• Cyclic scheduling
• Every other weekend required
• 1 major and 1 minor holiday required
• 1 department-specific orientation shift
• RTO must be submitted upfront; additional RTO will not be approved

Compliance / Workplace Policies

• Radius rule: candidates must live more than 50 miles away
• Candidates may not be currently employed full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and Dignity
• Candidates may not have worked full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and Dignity within the past year
• Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas

Interview / Screening

• Pass/fail exam during orientation
• Open-book skills exam; 90% required to pass
