• Patient Ratio: Maximum 1:6; Day shift Monday-Friday ratio 1:5

Job Description

• Traveling Med-Surg nurse assignment covering general med-surg, ortho, neuro, and spine patients.
• Floating requirement: First to float to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for a Med-Surg Unit (MSU) assignment unless telemetry trained.
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.
• Holiday requirement: Cannot request more than 1 holiday off during the contract (typically applicable May-Sept and Nov-Jan).
• Up to 2 extra mandatory shifts every 6 weeks.
• Experience or skills in Med-Surg nursing required.

Required Certifications

• BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
• ACLS
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license.
• Experience in Med-Surg nursing.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and meet floating and weekend requirements.
