Contract Length

• 16 weeks

Shift

• 12-hour evening and night shifts
• Variable schedule with heavier evening and overnight coverage
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• 2+ years of ER experience
• 1+ year of trauma experience
• Prior travel experience
• ACLS
• BLS
• ENPC
• NIHSS
• PALS
• TNCC
• Epic experience
• Must be comfortable providing culturally competent care to a highly diverse patient population

Key Responsibilities / Unit Details

• Emergency department setting with 55 beds total, plus 8–12 swing beds and 4 trauma bays
• Main ED, accelerated care, and critical care areas
• Separate triage area
• RNs manage their own holds
• RNs transport critical patients
• RNs draw ABGs and set up small-dose breathing treatments
• RNs and MSTs perform ECGs
• Nurse and MST draws for phlebotomy
• Common patient types include STEMI, stroke, DKA, sepsis, trauma, respiratory disease, and behavioral health

Additional Notes

• No first-time travelers
• Royal blue scrubs for nursing
• Unit orientation includes first-day leadership/badging plus 2–3 bedside orientation shifts
