Physical Therapist

Overview

• Hospital-based Physical Therapist role in Redding, California.
• 13-week assignment.
• Day shift: 4 x 10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM.
• Open to first-time travelers.

Required Qualifications

• Active BLS certification.
• Active California license.
• 2+ years of experience in the specialty.
• At least 1 year of acute care hospital experience.

Preferred / Helpful Experience

• Experience with cardiac, stroke, ortho, ICU, neuro, and med-surg patients.

Unit / Setting

• Rehab unit covering PT, OT, and Speech.
• PT coverage is needed 7 days a week.
• No floating.

Schedule / Weekend / Holiday Expectations

• Works every 3rd weekend, with the possibility of every other weekend.
• Holidays are worked into the permanent staff rotation for all modalities.

Patient Population / Clinical Context

• Primarily sees cardiac, stroke, ortho, ICU, neuro, and med-surg patients.
• Low-volume pediatrics ward and neonatal ICU are present, but travelers are not required to work NICU and are not required to have NICU or pediatrics experience.

Additional Notes

• 8 hours of floor-specific orientation for all modalities.
• Scrub attire is not allowed; burgundy polo-style shirt or button-down long-sleeve top and dark solid pants are used if desired.
