OT Acute Care

Overview

• Location: Sioux Falls, South Dakota
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days
• Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Primary schedule: Mon-Fri, generally 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
• Weekends required: 1 weekend/month
• No call required

Required Qualifications

• BLS Certification
• Occupational Therapy practice must align with South Dakota Occupational Therapy Practice Act and Administrative Rules

Preferred

• Willing to take a local candidate

Assignment Details

• Inpatient acute care and rehab setting
• General duties include evaluations, treatment interventions, team conferences, modalities if able to perform, documentation, and FIMs
• Computerized charting
• Access to UE Bioness and Dynavision
• Average patient load is 4-5 patients, with 21 beds in the unit
• Orientation includes 1 to 2 days of training for computer documentation, plus several additional days of department-specific training
• May supervise certified occupational therapist assistants, aides, and students
• May be asked to supervise students providing patient care, treatment, or services as part of their training

• Local rates apply within an 80-mile radius
• If the clinician has ever worked for Sanford Health, this must be noted in submission; prior Sanford Health clinicians must have an end date 6 months before submission
• Clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Dress code: polo in Ceil Blue, Khaki, Gray, or Chocolate Brown, or business casual; no jeans; modest attire
