Overview

• Travel contract in Oxnard, California
• 13-week contract
• Nights, 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week

Unit

• L&D/PP
• 7 L&D beds
• 4 triage beds
• 2 overflow beds
• 27 postpartum beds
• 5-bed nursery

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in California
• 2 full years of experience
• BLS
• ACLS
• NRP
• AWHONN fetal monitoring
• Able to circulate for C-sections

Preferred

• Stable
• Willing to take call
• At least one prior travel contract

Float Scope

• L&D floats to postpartum
• Postpartum floats to L&D
• L&D nurses also float to NICU to care for grower/feeders
• Postpartum nurses may help in NICU or L&D with tasks in scope

Schedule Details

• 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule
• 3-shift floor orientation

Clinical Setting

• High-risk deliveries
• Any gestational age
• EMT drop-offs
• Substance abuse and withdrawal cases
• No prenatal care cases
• Spanish-speaking patients are common
