LDRP RN - Maternal Child Health

Contract

• 16 weeks
• Nights
• 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Start ASAP

Required Qualifications

• Current Oklahoma RN license
• ACLS
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
• BLS
• NRP
• 2 years of recent hospital acute experience in the area applying to
• 2-5 years of L&D experience
• EPIC experience within the last year
• One supervisor reference from the most recent/current assignment

Preferred Qualifications

• LDRP experience

Unit Details

• LDRP unit with 13 beds
• 2 OR suites for C-sections
• 3 triage beds
• 50 births per month
• Level 1 Maternity and Well-Baby Nursery
• OB triage is run by LDRP nurses
• GYN surgical post-op patients are cared for on the unit
• Minimum staffing includes 3 LDRP RNs, 1 Baby Advocate RN, and 1 Scrub Tech

Responsibilities

• Titrate drips
• Circulate C-sections
• Read fetal monitor tracings
• May float as a patient sitter or nurse aide in med-surg and ICU during low census

Scheduling and Call

• Every other weekend required
• May be placed on call during low census with a 30-minute response time
• 2 or 3 major holidays possible, with more if staffing and census require it

Additional Notes

• 8 hours of non-billable orientation
• Modules are required before the first day of orientation
• 2.5 days of unit orientation during the first full week of assignment
• Teal scrubs are provided from a scrub vending machine
• Travelers are scheduled after core staff
• Block scheduling is not guaranteed
