Registered Polysomnographic Technologist - Sleep Center
Location: Columbus, Indiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Unit Size: 6-bed Sleep Center
Staff to Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:2
Job Summary
- Perform direct patient diagnostic testing and treatment under supervision of a Diplomate of the American Board of Sleep Medicine.
- Conduct polysomnographic studies by recording electrical brain activity, neuromuscular activity, eye movement, blood oxygen, heart rhythm, breathing patterns, and limb movements.
- Provide treatment for Obstructive Sleep Apnea using CPAP, Bi-Level, and VPAP devices.
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures and treatments.
- Use Cadwell Sleep System for computerized charting and data collection.
- Work alongside another Sleep Technologist; no on-call required.
- Weekend option position covering Friday through Sunday evenings.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Polysomnographic Technologist; experience with scoring preferred.
- Graduation from an accredited Polysomnographic program or equivalent training and experience.
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification via BRPT required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC) required.

- No floating to other units or departments.
- Orientation provided by Education Coordinator and current Sleep Technologist.
- Hospital dress code applies.
- Local candidates within any radius are accepted without rate changes.
