Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work in an inpatient rehab unit with acute, post-acute, and neuro patients.
Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with diagnoses such as Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury (SCI), Amputee, Brain Injury (BI), critical illness, neurological diseases (MS, Parkinson’s, etc.).
Unit size: 35 beds
Nurse-to-patient ratios:
- Days: 1:5
- Nights: 1:6
Charge Nurse present on each shift.
Nurse aides/patient care techs available with ratios of 1:10-15.

BLS certification required.
Must pass a pass/fail exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90%.
Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas.
Valid driver’s license required to verify candidate is within a 50-mile radius.
Candidates cannot be currently employed full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit (including CHI and Dignity).

Shifts:
- Day: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- Night: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Cyclic self-scheduling available.
Weekend requirement: At least every 3rd weekend.
Holiday requirement: At least 2 holidays.
No call or standby requirement.
Floating to MedSurg required.
Orientation includes classroom training plus 2 twelve-hour shifts on the unit.
Return to orientation (RTO) required within 7 days or less of the 13-week contract start; no additional RTO approved.

RNs are not required to titrate drips.
Common drips include antibiotics, anticoagulation, and antiplatelets.
Successful candidates demonstrate strong communication, organization, teamwork, problem-solving, compassion, inclusion, integrity, excellence, and collaboration.
