Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech

Location: Garden City, Kansas

Job Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Work Schedule: Days, 40-hour guarantee with on-call
• Department: Ultrasound Tech / Sonographer
• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of sonography experience
• Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM with call

Certifications & Requirements

• Required Certifications:

  • ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) registered
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echocardiography (RDCS-AE) via ARDMS
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) via ARDMS
  • Additional acceptable certifications include:

    • RDMS (OB/GYN), RDMS (AB), RDMS (BR)
    • ARRT registered R.T.(S), R.T.(S)(BS), R.T.(S)(VS)
    • Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCS)
• Must be able to establish IVs and have contrast experience

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care within the medical imaging department
• Perform high-quality ultrasound imaging and exams with sensitivity to patient needs
• Procedures include:

  • Abdominal, Pelvic, OB (Obstetrics), Head, Extremity, Retro-peritoneal, Small parts, and Vascular imaging
  • Potential for cardiac imaging at some locations
• May be required to float or cover other areas depending on location

Additional Information

• Orientation week requires clinicians to be in-state, even if some modules are remote
• Must submit a valid driver’s license
• Work radius: within 60 miles of the facility
