Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Long Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility

Location: Park River, North Dakota
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Seeking an LPN with experience in a Long Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting. The facility currently has 66 beds and is experiencing a low census. Patient care includes common diagnoses such as congestive heart failure (CHF), dementia, diabetes mellitus (DM), chronic kidney disease (CKD), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), dysphagia (PEG tube), urinary retention (Foley catheters), and wound care.

Work Schedule & Environment

• Shift Length: 8-hour shifts (AM and night shifts currently working 12-hour shifts)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: Approximately 1:22-25
• Orientation: Shadow another nurse for one shift
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: PCC
• No on-call or call-back required or billable

Required Qualifications

• Valid LPN / LVN license in North Dakota
• Minimum 2 years of Long Term Care experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility settings
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Additional Notes

• 12-hour night shifts with every 3rd weekend scheduled
• Facility-specific policies apply regarding scheduling and orientation
• Backouts or quits with less than 14 days’ notice may incur a fee
