CT Technologist (Computed Tomography) - Travel Assignment

Location: Santa Cruz, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

A hospital in California is seeking an experienced CT/X-Ray Technologist for a travel assignment. The role involves working with two scanners (Siemens Sensation 64 & GE 16 Light Speed) and performing 10-20 scans per shift, with evenings being the busiest. The position includes working with ER patients, virtual colonography, gated procedures, and general CT imaging.

Work Details

• Shift: 10-hour PM/Evening shifts, every other weekend (EOW)
• Holidays: Same hours as weekends, working into rotation
• Orientation: 3-4 shifts floor-specific orientation
• Floating: Radiology department
• Support: Radiologist coverage is not 24/7; night shifts use Nighthawk service
• EMR Systems: Cerner & McKesson PACS
• Scrub Color: Teal

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of CT/X-Ray experience
• Active BLS Certification
• Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT)
• Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R)
• Fluoroscopy certification
• Valid California state license
• Must have experience with both CT and X-Ray

Patient Types & Procedures

• Emergency Room patients
• Virtual Colonography
• Gated cardiac procedures (as needed)
• General CT imaging

Note: Radiologist is not onsite 24/7; night coverage is provided remotely.
