Job Opportunity: Surgical Tech

Location: Prescott, Arizona
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Specialty: CVOR Tech
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Call Requirements: On call up to 50% of the time from end of shift to next morning, with a 30-minute response time; also on call up to 50% of weekends
Operating Rooms: 6 ORs (including 1 CVOR), 1 Hybrid room
Cases per Day: 20-30 cases (1-2 cardiovascular or up to 4 TAVR cases)
Common Procedures: CABG, Aortic Valve, Mitral Valve, TAVR
Scrubbing: Required for this role
Support: Charge nurse and specialty leads available as resources; house supervisor present evenings (6 PM to 7 AM)
EMR System: Cerner
Scrubs Provided

Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of open heart experience
BLS Certification

Additional Information

Call coverage includes weekdays and weekends
This role involves working in a cardiovascular operating room environment with complex cardiac cases

Traveler friendly, good ratios, great scheduling, decent providers, Uses tiger text to communicate with most doctors. Plenty of hiking activities. Close to Sedona, Flagstaff and Phoenix. 5:1 Med/tele and 3:1 PCU.

Cons

Cost of living is High, roughly $2000-2500 for your own private space. Float between East and West Campus, 25 minutes apart, west will likely be where you spend 75% of your shifts so pick your housing accordingly.
