Sleep Tech Position - Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Job Details

• Specialty: Sleep Tech
• Location: Sioux Falls, South Dakota
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights only, Sunday through Thursday, 12-hour shifts
• Schedule: 3 night shifts per week; shifts may not be consecutive and can include split shifts
• Work Environment:

  • 10-bed Sleep Lab (2 beds for pediatric testing)
  • Located in a hospital outpatient department, lower level of a clinic off-campus from main hospital
  • Secured entrance with flat lot parking immediately outside
  • No cafeteria on site

Job Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic sleep testing including all PAP therapy titration
• Check in patients, set up rooms, patient hookup, charting, and cleaning equipment

Equipment and Systems

• Computerized charting
• Natus XLTech Sleep Works
• ResMed S9 Devices

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Sleep Tech
• Certifications: RPSGT and BLS required
• Must badge in and out at the facility
• Scrubs color: Gray

Work Conditions

• Employee will not work alone
• No call required
• No floating to other units or departments
• Patient to tech ratio: 2:1 for most patients; 1:1 for patients younger than 3 years old
• Limited scoring during data collection

Orientation and Training

• Modified EMR training
• One shift orientation with another sleep tech

Additional Notes

• Clinicians who have previously worked for the facility must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
• The lab operates Sunday through Thursday
