Audiologist

Overview

• Part-time contract role in Greenbrae, California
• 24 hours per week
• Day shift: 3x 8-hour shifts per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid Audiologist license in California
• Audiologist experience within the last year
• 1 year of experience as an Audiologist
• BLS
• Master's degree in audiology or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctor of Audiology preferred
• California Dispensing Audiologist License preferred

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provides audiological services, including screening, diagnostic, and (re)habilitation services
• Provides hearing aid services, including evaluations, counseling, electroacoustic and real ear testing, troubleshooting, adjusting hearing aids, setting programmable instruments, and related hardware/software support
• Performs earmold impressions and earmold modifications
• Serves patients of all ages, including hearing screening in the Intensive Care Nursery, auditory brainstem screening of the pediatric population, otoacoustic emissions testing, and other age-specific or functional-specific procedures
• Consults with physicians, teachers, parents, and others about results and recommendations
• Prepares formal written reports for physicians and other referral sources
• Responds to community requests for information related to hearing, hearing loss, and services offered
• Provides information to the Manager about unusual patient contacts
• Exchanges information with other staff regarding mutual patients
• Responds to convalescent, rehabilitation, and acute hospitals for out-of-office visits requested

• Up to 36 hours of call-off available to the facility at no cost during the assignment
