HI OR Scrub Tech

Overview

• Contract assignment in Hilo, Hawaii.
• The role is a scrub tech assignment in an OR setting.
• 13-week contract.

Required Qualifications

• Surgical Technologist with 2 years of experience.
• Surgical Technologist experience within the last year.
• BLS.
• NBSTSA.
• Experience in a hospital setting.

Clinical Duties

• Help with turnover cleaning.
• Transport patients when needed.
• Must be able to independently scrub cases in:

  • General
  • Orthopedic
  • Vascular
  • Ophthalmic
  • Urology
  • ENT
  • Endoscopy
  • Robotic
  • Obstetrics
  • Gynecology

Schedule

• Variable shifts based on department needs.
• 40 hours per week, with possibility of 32 hours if there is a holiday.
• Call is assigned to everyone, averaging 1-2 times per week and up to 2 weekends per month.
• 20-minute call back time.
• Orientation is on day shift for up to a week or until manager discretion.

Unit Details

• Small but very busy and efficient OR.
• 1-2 outpatient GI labs.
• 1-2 rooms running simultaneously.

Additional Notes

• Scrubs are provided.
• Traveler must complete a minimum of 39 shifts during the contract if requested time off is taken.
• If not currently holding an active Hawaii license, the traveler must apply upon acceptance of offer.
