Shift: Weekend (Saturday - Monday)
Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
Job Description
Work in a 14 or 12 bed inpatient acute rehabilitation unit focused on recovery from severe injury or illness. The unit provides specialized rehabilitation for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury. The goal is to maximize patient health, function, and quality of life through comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs.
Patient Population
- Adults aged 18 years and older
- Common diagnoses include amputee, stroke, hip and knee replacements
Unit Information
- Patient Ratios:
- 1 LPN to 10 patients
- 1 RN to 7 patients
- 1 Tech (C.NA) to 12 patients
- Equipment available: EKG machine, bladder scanner
- Electronic Health Record system: Cerner
Required Qualifications
- Valid LPN / LVN license in Kentucky
- LPN / LVN with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Associate Degree in Nursing is the minimum educational requirement
- Experience in a Rehabilitation setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Critical thinking skills
Additional Details
- Scrub color: Royal blue
- Weekend hours every weekend (Saturday through Monday)
- Parking available on the outer perimeter of the building (front spaces reserved for patients and families)
