Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Location: Sierra Vista, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Weekly Hours: 36 hours (includes 4 weekend shifts per 4 weeks)
Call Requirements: None

Unit and Patient Information

• Department: Emergency Department
• Number of Beds: 22
• Patient Ratios:

  • 4:1 for pod patients
  • 2:1 for critical patients
  • 6:1 for fast track patients
• Patient Population: Trauma, STEMI, psychiatric, cardiac, gastrointestinal, stroke, and general emergency cases
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: Cerner

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Arizona
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Certifications required prior to submission:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience in trauma and pediatric emergency care
• Ability to work with a diverse patient population including critical and fast track cases

• Dress code: Scrubs of any color or print allowed
• Unacceptable attire includes non-scrubs, t-shirts, open-toe shoes, hoodies, and leggings
