Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Advanced hemodynamics including pressor usage per titration protocols
• Antihypertensive drips administration
• Sedative and narcan drips administration
• Thrombolytic administration
• Arterial line management
• Central venous pressure (CVP) monitoring
• External ventricular drain (EVD) management
• Orthopedic traction management
• High-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) management
• BiPap/CPAP management
• Experience with Epic

Clinical Experience / Skills

• Care for medically delicate and surgically complex patients in a progressive critical care setting
• Experience with respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multisystem organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex trauma, and surgical complications
• Experience with antihypertensive drips, sedative and Narcan drips, thrombo-embolytics, arterial lines, CVP monitoring, EVDs, ortho traction, infection prevention protocols, HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, and oxygen-dependent patients
• Large-scale adult PCU experience and community hospital ICU experience are noted as helpful

Other Important Details

• Navy blue scrubs required
• Local candidates are not accepted
• 48 hours per week may be considered if interested
• Competency test required within 24 hours of submission
