RN - Med Surg Telemetry

Job Overview

• Travel RN position in Reno, Nevada
• 13-week contract
• Day shift, 3x12 schedule
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• No call required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Nevada
• Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Schedule and Work Expectations

• May be required to float to other units within competency
• May be required to work major holidays
• One additional shift is required during each 4-week schedule period
• Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
• Facility may call off up to 48 hours without penalty for low census under the 13-week contract

Clinical Setting

• Telemetry unit with adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients
• May care for patients with CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMI, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, COVID, post-procedure cardiac patients, and post-ICU patients
• May float to intensive care, medical-surgical units, and another affiliated location for telemetry or medical-appropriate assignments

Work Environment

• Busy, fast-paced setting
• Level II trauma center with stroke accreditation
• Large inpatient and emergency department volume
