Overview

• Travel RN position in Winchester, Kentucky
• 13-week contract
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend
• Float scope includes step-down care for med/surg if needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Kentucky
• Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS
• ACLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• IV insertion experience
• PICC and central line care experience
• Post-operative surgical care for general surgery patients
• Post-operative surgical care for total knee replacement patients
• Post-operative surgical care for hip replacement patients
• Post-operative surgical care for hernia repair patients
• Post-operative surgical care for colectomy patients

• IVs
• NGs
• PICC and Central Line Care
• Catheter Care
• Post-op surgical care for general surgery patients
• Post-op surgical care for total knee and hip replacement, hernia repair, and colectomy patients

Unit Details

• Med/Surg unit
• 36 beds
• Patient ratio: 5:1 and 6:1
• Day shift has a lot of admissions and discharges
• Patient population ranges from age 18 to geriatric
