RN Behavioral Health

Role Overview

• Travel RN assignment in Englewood, Colorado.
• 36 guaranteed hours per week.
• 1 opening.
• Orientation is biweekly on Mondays.
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater away to be considered travel.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Colorado.
• Psychiatric experience within the last year.
• 1 year of psychiatric experience.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• BLS.
• HWC.
• Deescalation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Behavioral health experience.
• Medical or dual diagnosis experience.
• Ability to do CIWA.
• Ability to do COWS.

Unit and Patient Population

• Behavioral Health unit.
• 96-bed hospital with 4 units of 20-26 patients.
• Patient ratios are roughly 1:12 on Adolescent, Adult Mental Wellness, and Adult Acute.
• Patient ratio is 1:10 on Adult Dual Diagnosis/SUD.
• Patient population includes adolescents ages 13-17 and adults 18+.
• Average length of stay is 7-10 days.

Float Scope

• May float to all units if necessary.

Schedule and Work Environment

• Weekend hours are included in the 36 hours.
• Call/text may be used when someone calls off shift or when there are shift openings.
• Scrub color: Navy.
• Unacceptable attire: Casual wear.
