Registered Nurse (Rehab) - Travel Assignment

Location: Chesterfield, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Provide inpatient rehabilitation nursing care for adult patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, multiple trauma, cancer, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions. Work collaboratively with therapists, physicians, specialists, and family members to improve patients’ functional ability and quality of life.

Work Environment

• Facility with 81 private rooms
• Patient population: Adults (18+ years)
• Units include Stroke, Comprehensive, Medically Complex, Brain Injury, and Spinal Cord Injury
• Patient ratios: approximately 1:6-7 during the day, 1:8 at night
• Each nurse is supported by a dedicated tech
• Electronic Health Record system: Epic
• Float required within 5 hospital units
• Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
• Minimum 2 years of rehabilitation nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) credential preferred
• Flexible, collaborative, and positive demeanor

Additional Information

• Report to Charge Nurse upon arrival
• Parking available in garage (upper level or back two rows of lower level)
• Focus on comprehensive treatment addressing physical, emotional, and psychological patient needs
• Facility offers specialized equipment and therapy spaces including brain injury and stroke care units, gymnasiums with high-tech therapy devices, and outdoor healing gardens
