Unit Overview

• Level II Trauma Center
• Bed Capacity: 309
• Unit: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
• Number of Beds: 12 suite OR, 2 CVORs
• Staffing: 2 CVORs
• Shift Coverage:

  • Day Shift: 4 RNs, 4 CSTs
  • Night Shift: On call
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• EMR System: Meditech

Job Description

• Primary focus on Cardiovascular Surgery including procedures such as CABG, valve replacement, thoracic, and vascular surgeries.
• Main OR experience required with willingness to float to main OR.
• Flexible and team-oriented personality preferred.
• Scrub nurses preferred but not mandatory.

Schedule

• 36 hours per week
• Variable call schedule
• Expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital staff

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida
• Minimum 5 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience, including experience within the last year
• Operating Room (OR) experience
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
