Job Description

• Provide dialysis nursing care on two campuses with dialysis units:

  • Regional campus: 8 dialysis bays, bedside and peritoneal dialysis, hours Monday-Saturday 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM, with call on Sundays and after hours.
  • Northport campus: 5 dialysis bays, bedside and peritoneal dialysis, hours Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, with call on other days and after hours.
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals.
• Work schedule includes holidays as required and every other weekend.
• Nurses and Certified Dialysis Techs prepare and perform dialysis treatments.

Requirements

Education & Licenses

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Registered Nurse license for the State of Alabama or compact license (no temporary licenses accepted).
• Certification in AHA BLS or Red Cross required.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
• At least 1 year of dialysis nursing experience required.
• Professional Nursing Certification preferred.

Other

• Must be able to read, write legibly, speak, and comprehend English.
• Must be willing to float to other units/hospitals.

Additional Information

• Clinical position, patient-facing.
• EMR system: Meditech.
• Dress code: Solid navy scrubs.
• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks (approximately 3 months).
