Contract Length:

Unit and Work Environment

Unit: Behavioral Health Unit
Number of Beds: 17
Patient Ratios: 1:12
Multidisciplinary team includes RNs, Mental Health Technicians, Recreational Therapists, Social Workers, Nurse Practitioners, and Psychiatrists
Documentation system: Expanse
Schedule varies, including weekends, typically 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
May be required to float to outpatient services

Job Responsibilities and Procedures

Conduct DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) groups
Conduct CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) groups
Perform psychosocial assessments
Case management
Individual patient check-ins
Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings

Required Qualifications

Valid Mental Health license in Virginia
Master's degree in Psychology or related field
Minimum 2 years of mental health experience, including experience within the last year
Experience facilitating DBT groups
Experience facilitating CBT groups
Experience performing psychosocial assessments
Experience with case management
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
