Job Opportunity: RN - ICU (Travel)

Location: Los Alamos, New Mexico
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: ICU Registered Nurse
• Shift: See shift details (alternating weekends)
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Call Requirements: As needed; must be within 30 minutes of the hospital when on call
• Float Requirements: May be required to float to Medsurg, ER, etc.
• Number of Openings: 1

Unit Information

• Unit: ICU 1 (6 beds)
• Patient Ratios: 2:1
• Patient Population: All ages
• EHR System: Medhost Clinicals

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
• Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
• Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS (must have at submission; certifications are not available onsite)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Skills:

  • Ventilator management
  • Titrating continuous medications

Additional Requirements

• Must be fingerprinted and undergo background check per New Mexico state requirements (travelers may start on a 14-day waiver while waiting on results but must be supervised)
• Must be located 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify as travel
• Professional demeanor required
• Dress code: Scrubs (any color); casual wear not acceptable

• Orientation is weekly on Mondays
• Weekend hours are alternating
• Call is as needed with a 30-minute response time requirement
