Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) (Nights)

Job Description

Registered Nurses in the Intensive Care Unit are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care. Key responsibilities include:

• Comprehensive assessment of patients’ physical and psychosocial status using age-specific data
• Accurate and ongoing patient assessments with required documentation
• Performing and documenting observations, physical exams, lab/test results, and patient responses to interventions
• Participating in multidisciplinary care planning to meet patient needs and optimize outcomes
• Assisting other staff with patient care as needed
• Incorporating patient teaching and discharge planning to promote optimal outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of ICU experience
• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (verified via Nursys)
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification (must be obtained within 30 days of start)
• Completed Skills Checklist relevant to ICU within the past year
• Two supervisory reference forms with employment dates
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility (local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible)
• Applicants who were direct employees within the last 2 years are not eligible

• Nonbillable hours: 16 hours
