Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Long Term Care (Nights)

Job Description

• Provide nursing care through assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care under supervision.
• Responsible and accountable for a group of residents/patients during the shift.
• Manage the environment to maintain resident/patient safety.
• Supervise nursing assistants and helpers in resident/patient care activities.
• Follow all applicable policies, procedures, and standards of care, including the State Nurse Practice Act and JCAHO standards where applicable.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service aligned with core principles of exceptional care, passionate services, and unexpected luxury.
• Adhere to a dress code of matching scrubs (preferably gray or purple).
• Must be flexible with scheduling; blocked scheduling cannot be guaranteed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in Michigan.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Long Term Care, including experience within the last year.
• Experience in a Long Term Care setting.
• Experience in Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) settings.
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Previous travel experience.

Additional Requirements

• Must have an active Michigan iCHAT account and be authorized to schedule fingerprinting.
• Work history/resume and home/taxable address must be documented in the profile.
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission.
• References highly preferred; if not provided upfront, will be required during onboarding.
• License verification and copy of BLS certification required.

Shift Details

• Night shift.

Compensation Notes

• Overtime paid after 40 hours at the standard rate (no multiplier).
• Holiday and call-back pay at 1.25x the standard rate with a minimum of 2 hours for any call-back.
• Orientation hours are non-billable.
• Travelers must clock out to ensure proper compensation for shifts worked.

Work Environment

• Long-term care setting assisting residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
• Engagement of residents through activities and social programs.
