Physical Therapist Assistant

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in Missouri
• Physical Therapy Assistant (1 year of experience)
• Physical Therapy Assistant experience within the last year
• Experience in a(n) Long Term Care setting

Job Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative treatment under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
• Perform rehabilitation procedures such as manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive or assistive devices
• Assess patient progress and communicate treatment adjustments to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Document required clinical information and treatment minutes in the electronic documentation system
• Participate in required meetings, trainings, in-services, and conferences
• Help obtain necessary durable medical equipment or supplies with the supervising Physical Therapist
• Supervise and support students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist
• Follow applicable practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics for the role

Additional Notes

• New graduates are accepted if they have Level II experience rather than only Level I observation experience
