Job Description

• Provide patient care within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
• Apply the nursing process to patient care.
• Teach patients and their significant others.
• Document patient care in the medical record.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate overall patient care.

Requirements

Experience

• Acute care hospital experience is required.
• Minimum of 24 months (2 years) current experience in Intermediate/Progressive Care Unit (PCU/IMCU/Telemetry/Stepdown) is required.
• Facility will consider candidates with experience in PCU, IMCU, Telemetry, or Stepdown units.

Certifications

• ACLS (AHA) required.
• BLS (AHA) required.
• Certifications do not need to be active at time of submission but candidate must be willing to obtain/renew.

Licensure

• Oregon RN license required.
• License does not need to be active at time of submission but candidate must be willing to obtain/renew.

Documentation

• Resume is required.
• Skills checklist specific to the RN discipline is required.

Additional Information

• 16 hours of unbillable overtime.
• Overtime paid at 1.25x the base rate.
• Client may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13 weeks.
