Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Oakland, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: 3 shifts of 12 hours each (3x12)
- Schedule: Weekends every other weekend
- Call: None
- Holidays: Work if falls on scheduled day
- Required Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty
- Required Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
Required Skills
- Circulate for C-Section
- Recover C-Section
- Pain assessment and management
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
Identification
- Valid Driver's License or Passport (photo ID, color, clearly visible)
Background Checks (within 90 days prior to start)
- Comprehensive background check including:
- SSN Trace
- 7-year Nationwide, County, and National Criminal searches
- FACIS Level 3
- National Sex Offender Registry
- OIG Sanction Search
- EPLS/GSA/SAM
- No pending or placeholder background checks accepted
Education Verification
- Verification of highest level of education required
- Must meet minimum education requirements before start
Certifications Verification
- Must provide current and valid certifications as listed above
- Additional certifications may be required depending on unit
Licensure
- Current, unencumbered state nursing license
- NURSYS verification required within 15 days prior to start
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, NP, or APRN
- Fit mask test within 90 days of start (specific mask types required)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination within 10 years or signed declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray updated annually
- TB questionnaire updated annually
- Proof of immunity or vaccination for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (positive titer or declination)
- Varicella
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination on file by November 6
- Drug testing: Oral saliva drug screen within 30 days of start (rapid tests not accepted)
Competencies & Training
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Color blind testing within 90 days of start
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required
- Facility-specific competencies and new employee orientation modules must be completed by end of first day
Employment History & References
- Current resume including last 7 years of employment
- Employment verification for past 3 years
- References required per agency standards (not facility requirement)

- Failure to complete required competencies or documentation may result in immediate termination of assignment.
